McGaughey Rites At Russellville
Mrs. Irene McGaughey, 71, died Wednesday night at the Masonic Home in Franklin. She had been ill for some time and was taken to the Masonic Home in March.
The daughter of William and Ellen Barton, she was born April 29, 1891, in Waveland. She was married in 1909 to Bert Murray and in 1936 to Lon McGaughey who preceded her in death.
Mrs. McGaughey was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Pythian Sisters, American Legion Auxiliary and Federated Church of Russellville.
Survivors include a son, Dean Murray of Waveland a daughter Mrs. Maxine Harbison Russellville; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Murphy of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Ina Durham of Waveland.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Russellville Federated Church Burial will be in the Russellville Cemetery. Friends may call at the McGaughey and Son Funeral Home in Russellville.
